Owner and operator of Busselton-based business Power Pickleball, Jayne de Silva, was thrilled to have won the Gold in the doubles with her partner Lisa Millard.

“We actually beat Australia’s number one pickleball player, and earned a lot of points for doing so,” she said.

Pickleball is one of the world’s fastest growing sports. It was established in 1965 but over the last five years has gained recognition as a professional sport.

“It’s easy to play, but incredibly difficult to master,” Ms de Silva said.

“The only problem with pickleball is how addictive it is.”
